Jessica: Garrett Mitchell just stole a home run with two outs in the eighth, and the Milwaukee Brewers advanced to the NLCS. That is the image that is going to haunt San Diego for the rest of the offseason.
Mark: It’s brutal. You have Manny Machado driving at full speed, looking to tie the game, and Mitchell makes a play that defies physics. The Padres are done, 91-71 record, second in the NL West, but the season ended on a defensive masterpiece by the opponent.
Jessica: For the Beatline Podcast Network, I’m Jessica, signing off with Mark. Keep chasing the ace!
