Scott: The rotation is thin, Natalie. With Cecconi, Taillon, Armstrong, Corbin, Clase, and Santander all on IL, we are looking at the bottom of the depth chart. I expect Gavin Williams or Tanner Bibee to get the nod if they are healthy enough.
Natalie: Right. And remember, we talked about Parker Messick yesterday hoping for six innings. He didn’t get that luxury last night. Does Messick start today?
Scott: It’s possible. Joey Cantillo is also on the roster. But honestly, with the bullpen stretched so thin due to these injuries, you want your starter to go deep. If it’s Messick, he needs to keep the ball in the park.
Natalie: Detroit isn’t messing around either. They are coming in hot. If our starter doesn’t get those six-plus innings, the bullpen is going to be exposed.
Scott: Absolutely. That’s the key. You cannot rely on Logan Allen or Matt Festa to eat up five innings every time. You need quality starts.

Scott: It changes the defensive positioning. Brayan Rocchio is solid, but Urias brings specific range. Without him, you might see more balls fall in for singles. That puts pressure on the pitchers to get ahead in the count.

Scott: Bullpen management. In Game Three, we said it would be a low-scoring affair decided by relief pitching. That didn’t happen. Tonight, we need our relievers to hold leads.
Natalie: Colin Holderman, Hunter Gaddis, Erik Sabrowski. These guys are getting heavy workloads. Are they fresh enough?
Scott: That’s the risk. If the starter goes seven innings, maybe Holderman can close it. But if it goes ten, we are gambling.
Natalie: Bold prediction time. I think Travis Bazzana gets a hit. What about you?
Scott: I predict a win for Cleveland, but only by one run. The bullpen holds on. 4-3.
